Elizabeth Gillies is a singer writer, performer, and actress from the United States. She is most well-known for the role of Lucy in the musical 13 and Jade West, in Nickelodeon's Victorious. She began her professional career as a commercial actress. Her first appearance on television was on The Black Donnellys (2007). In the Nickelodeon show Victorious in which she played Jade West between 2010 and 2013. In 2015-16, she played a prominent role on the comedy series on FX called Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll. The actress was nominated for Best Young Performer in the Critics Choice Movie Awards in the year 2010 for her performance as Sofia Coppola's Somewhere. She received the Spotlight Award by the Hollywood Film Festival in 2011, for her performance as the leading role for the character of Super 8. She then played the title role in the comedy films We Bought a Zoo (2011) and Ginger & Rosa (2012) as well as the role as Princess Aurora in the epic fantasy film Maleficent (2014) and Maleficent Misstress of Evil (2019).
